I have a love and appreciation for collections care & management. I have worked with a variety of collection objects to handle, study, and preserve. Take a look at some of my work!
Box Making
I recreated a typical, cost savvy storage space for a collection object I brought from home using coroplast board, screwdriver, and string. This can comfortably fit the object and any more padding needed to stabilize it.

Adding Accession Numbers
I practiced adding accession numbers to collection objects, some of which were more straight-forward and others were more challenging in terms of shape and display options.

Condition Reports
I have filled out condition reports for various collection items. My background in fine arts assisted me in sketching recreations of the objects.

Collection Storage
I created portfolios for paper-based materials commonly found in collections. The materials are acid-free and pH neutral.

Integrated Pest Management
I spent an afternoon studying the life-cycles of common pests found in museum collections at The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis.

Preventative Conservation
I meticulously cleaned the historic furniture in the Benjamin Harrison Presidential Site.

Natural Disaster Cleaning
I cleaned off a bottle covered in soot using professional museum equipment. I filled out a condition report before and after cleaning, and used the methods that would best restore the object to its original state.

Taxidermy Cleaning
I spent an afternoon cleaning taxidermied birds and identifying any pests for the Eagle Creek Center.

Grave Cleaning
I also spent an afternoon professionally cleaning graves with a group of volunteers!
